Almost everything we buy has a carbon-footprint due to energy used in collecting raw materials, manufacturing, and transportation. Buying “pre-owned” items eliminates the pollution from a new item and prevents the second-hand item from filling our landfills. You may also help support a local charity depending upon which second-hand store you purchase from.
